In the early 2000s, I moved from New York to Japan on a whim. I lived there for several years, learned the language, and began working in video production. That experience launched my career as a director and documentary filmmaker within the music industry. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of collaborating with many legendary artists in Japan's hip-hop scene, as well as influential musicians throughout the United States. Throughout my career, I have sought to bridge the gap between the cultures on both sides of the ocean.

Although I have worked with artists around the world, the foundation of my creative life has always led back to Japan. This exhibition is both a tribute to the people and places that shaped my creative vision. While the photographs focus heavily on Tokyo's street culture, they also serve as a portrait of my broader experience in Japan and a time capsule of a rapidly growing culture that has transformed dramatically over the years.
